Denny Dent was famed for his frantic paintings of celebrities, performed with multiple brushes in both hands, with reckless brushstrokes he would merge art, dance and music in a performance that can only leave the audience in awe. After watching Jimi Hendrix Live @ Monterey a couple of weeks ago, It left me wondering how many people were aware of the undoubtable talent of this man, easily described as the most Rock and Roll speed painter, Denny Dent blurs all lines between the usual image of a brooding painter sitting solitary in their studio and the idea of Rock and Roll being reserved for centre stage.
