I figured, as I'm currently in Seattle I should dedicate Doo Wop Wednesday to one of the finest vocal groups to come out of Seattle- The Gallahads. They began playing during the early 50s whilst attending Edmond Meany Junior High. Their sound is distinctive and as one of the first groups from the Pacific North West to hit the R&B charts, they soon discovered their niche and hit Hollywood to record the remainder of their 45s. I'll refrain from writing out an extensive history of their band members and discography. I will however leave you all with a couple of my favourite tracks by The Gallahads.
